Just a little heads-up for future reference. I was accepted into the “AIRS” event in the 2008 New Haven City-wide Open Studios art festival this year! That means I’ll have a bunch of work showing (along with some friends) in a big gallery space from October 3rd-5th in the New Haven area....exact location forthcoming. I’m also contributing an illustration to a book that’s coming out next year. It’s called “Back of Woodstock”, and it’s popping up in time for the 40th anniversary of Woodstock in summer 2009. Buy one and tell Rosie it’s all cuzza me :)

Sept. 11th, 2008 :

Hey, kids....I’ll have a couple of pieces of art and a comic strip I’m drawin’ called “Hot Fudge Sangre” in the next issue of MungBeing magazine (#22 I think). My pal, Tom Drew is my “idea-go-to-guy” for the strip, so they should be sufficiently twisted :) The mag’s in the link section, checkitout!!

Sept. 16th, 2008 :

Okay, the location of the gallery space I’ll be occupying in New Haven (technically Fair Haven) for the City Wide Open Studios weekend is 278 Grand Avenue....how fitting, hehheh.  The hours are October 3rd : 4-8 pm, 4th & 5th : 12-8pm.  I’m gallery-sitting all Friday, and 12-3pm Sat. and Sun. if you wanna make sure to catch me. I will be around till 8, but I may pop in and out after 3pm, depending how things go. I’ll have a mix of old and new stuff.  I’ll get around ten feet of space and I’ll be sharing the area with some cool artists (see Project Detonate for an example).  Be there or be severely missed....

I’ll also be attending the kickoff party for awhile at Artspace, 50 Orange street, Thursday Oct. 2nd from 6-9pm. Sponsored by Magic Hat, baby! It’s always PACKED! Should be a killer weekend...you can get more specs at www.CWOS.org.

On a side note, I’ve put a few new images up on the site, but I don’t wanna give away too many surprises, so I’m hiding some of the stuff I’ve been working on until a later date :) I’m a tease.

Anyway, it seems that “Son Goku” made his way to his new home just in time for a special little boy’s first birthday. Happy Birthday, Diego!!

Show updates!!

First one (I got two paintings in here) is in New Yawk :

My second event will be at Dynamite Records (on Main st.) in Northampton, MA on Nov. 14th (2nd friday).  I’ll have some pieces in the store for a while, and I’ll be in the window live-painting on that friday from 5-8pm give or take. Come marvel at the guy making a complete mess of a perfectly good canvas. If anyone has a fun idea for a three hour painting, hit me up. I do requests!

....I guess I better get workin’.....I got four more shows right after these, I think....guess I’m not sleeping.....

It’s the new year! I’ve been so busy with various projects that I forgot about you guys! Lemme fill you in....lean in closer.

*Deep breath* Okay, on Valentine’s day I’ll have a couple o’ pieces in the “Tunnel of Love” show at Genuine Artikle in NY. Go there and buy some art, they’re good people. I’ll also be contributing to their custom birdhouse show in March (sounds fun!).

Another NY show I’ll be participating in is APW Gallery’s “World of Imagination, Volume 2”. It’ll be a giant show filled with 12x12 paintings (I’ll have 5 in it, if all goes according to plan). My fellow CT artists Dave Estes, Osiris Orion, and Mike Shapcott will be in it also, so go out and support us creative nutmeggers!

Here’s a major one! Tentatively scheduled for Sat. April 4th, I’ll be in a five-man show called “April’s Fools” with fellow local artists Tom Drew, Rick Beaupre, Dave Estes and Mike Shapcott!! It’ll be at No Regrets Tattoo shop and Gallery in Naugatuck, CT. It’s gonna be OFF THE HOOK!! ....I’m joking, I’ll answer the phone if you call. For directions. Because you’re GOING! More accurate info on that later.

I’ve also got some side projects brewing, one of which is a possible toy collaboration with my buddy from Deadboy Press in my hometown of Fall River, MA...he does some killer custom plushes.

In the DISTANT future (June of 2010 to be exact) I’ll be having a solo show at the Funky Monkey Cafe and Gallery in Cheshire, CT. This should be fun, the place looks really nice so save the date on your calendar, eh?? I’ll put up a postcard and do some mailings as this gets closer.

*exhales* I think that’s everything....I’ll letcha know if I forgot anything....
